Ain Consulting Engineers (ACE) is currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Egypt.

  • Lead and coordinate all interior design aspects for the residential components of the project ensuring that the sub-consultant’s work aligns with the approved ACE design intent, technical standards, and project schedule.
  • Review all sub-consultant residential ID deliverables (layouts, finishes, RCPs, joinery details, etc.).
  • Ensure alignment with ACE’s concept, spatial logic, and approved aesthetic standards.
  • Verify functionality and coordination between architecture, MEP, and interiors.
  • Conduct design validation reviews before HQ submission.
  • Support issue resolution during weekly coordination meetings.
  • Safeguard the design language, proportions, and material selection established by ACE HQ.
  • Review color palettes, material combinations, and detailing to maintain luxury and coherence.
  • Participate in mock-up reviews and sample selections with sub-consultants and suppliers.
  • Ensure design continuity between different villa/townhouse types.
  • Verify that all residential interiors comply with local Egyptian building codes, fire & life safety, and international standards (IBC, NFPA, ADA).
  • Check alignment with MODON, Estidama/LEED, and sustainability requirements.
  • Coordinate with the architectural lead for code-related clarifications.
  • Review residential interior elements within the shared BIM environment.
  • Collaborate with the BIM manager on clash detection, issue closure, and BEP compliance.
  • Ensure material schedules and model parameters are consistent across all units.
  • Represent ACE in weekly Design Coordination and BIM meetings.
  • Track RFI closure, issue logs, and design progress.
  • Submit a weekly progress summary to ACE-AD highlighting key risks and sub-consultant performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture.
  • 8-10  years of experience in residential, villa, or community housing projects.
  • Strong understanding of design detailing, materials, and technical coordination.
  • Excellent eye for design aesthetics and functional layouts.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Aconex.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
